We value what we value

Values are more than words on a wall—they’re the way we choose to live. They shape how we follow Jesus, how we treat each other, and how we make decisions every day. They’re the filter we run everything through—and the way we measure what matters. Not an add-on. Our way of life.

When the surf’s up, all bets are off

We do what we can but when God moves, we move:

Like the best companies—when the surf’s up, you go. Deadlines can wait. You don’t miss the moment. We want to be that kind of community with God. We plan well. We prepare thoughtfully. We bring our best.
But we are not in control—God is. So when His presence moves, we move.

If it takes us off script, stretches us, or asks more of us than we expected—we say yes. Because we’re not here to build our kingdom. We’re here to see His kingdom come on earth. In reality this looks like…

  • Holding plans loosely

  • Creating space to respond, not just perform

  • Choosing obedience over polish

  • Taking risks when we sense God leading

We all need a tribe

We don't walk away we lean in:

In a time of deep loneliness, we refuse to do life alone. Community isn’t a nice idea for us—it’s the environment everything happens in. If it doesn’t happen in community, it doesn’t happen. Real community isn’t always easy. It’s messy. It’s costly.

And that’s exactly why it matters. We don’t walk away when things get hard—we lean in. We show up. Especially when it’s inconvenient. We’re not just building connections. We’re becoming a people who belong to one another. In reality this looks like…

  • Choosing commitment over convenience

  • Staying when things get uncomfortable

  • Showing up in both celebration and crisis

  • Being known—and knowing others deeply

We take Jesus seriously, not ourselves

All about Jesus, not about us

Jesus is everything to us. Our worship, our decisions, our direction—it all starts and ends with Him. But we don’t take ourselves too seriously. We know we’re human. Still learning. Still growing. So we choose humility over self-importance.

We laugh easily. We’re honest about our lives. We don’t pretend—and we don’t expect others to either. Authenticity is our posture. Joy is part of our witness. In reality this looks like…

  • Owning our mistakes quickly

  • Creating spaces where people can be real

  • Laughing, celebrating, and grieving together

  • Removing pressure to “have it all together”

When we meet, we eat

Something happens when we do community together

At the centre of Jesus’ ministry is something surprisingly ordinary: a table. Before there was a movement, a structure, or a service—there were meals. Conversation. Presence. Shared life. We believe transformation happens around tables, not just in rows.

In a world of hurry, isolation, and consumption, we slow down. We make space. We share food. We share life. This isn’t an add-on to church. This is the way of Jesus. In reality this looks like…

  • Prioritising meals over meetings

  • Making room for people in our homes and rhythms

  • Choosing presence over productivity

  • Building community that is relational, not transactional

We play with broken toys

Everyone gets to play, but play nicely and share the toys

God has always chosen unlikely people. Not the polished. Not the perfect. But the ones with a limp. The ones still figuring it out. People like us.

We believe the Church isn’t for the put-together—it’s for everyone. Not just welcomed, but invited. Not just included, but entrusted. Everyone has a part to play. This is a community where weakness isn’t disqualifying—it’s often where God does His best work. In reality this looks like…

  • Giving people real responsibility, not just a seat

  • Valuing honesty over image

  • Creating pathways for everyone to contribute

  • Celebrating growth, not perfection
